Frontier Sonde Inc. is the recipient of the intellectual property funded and developed by Advanced Applied Physics Solutions Inc. (AAPS) in collaboration with a resource sector partner. AAPS, as a Centre of Excellence for Commercialization and Research, is the corporate incubator and commercialization arm of TRIUMF - Canada's national laboratory for particle and nuclear physics. Frontier Sonde is able to leverage the synergies surrounding us - nuclear and particle physics experts, material science teams, detector excellence and advanced readout technologies in a Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission approved complex. At Frontier, our engineers develop novel technology to advance oil and gas surveying to meet industries global demands. Frontier's petro-physicist team also provides advanced data interpretation by implementing leading-edge software. Frontier Sonde is located on the TRIUMF campus in Vancouver B.C.

Frontier Sonde Inc. is supported by the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP). NRC-IRAP has provided R&D funding in order to develop high-performance detector electronics and undertake advanced methodology studies using Monte Carlo technologies. NRC-IRAP has also provided support under the Youth Employment Program which has helped us to build a team of highly qualified professionals, dedicated to developing and improving well-logging technology.

Our mission is to advance the quality and functionality of downhole tools and become a trusted and valued partner in oil & gas exploration and production. Frontier Sonde believes accurate, reliable downhole tools can improve efficiency, save money, and minimise environmental impact.
